A community forum for developers, lenders and property owners to learn about creating redevelopment opportunities,
financing, incentives and overcoming environmental hurdles specific to Transit Oriented Developments (TODs) in the Colfax
corridor. TODs  are pedestrian-friendly,  mixed-use developments, located within proximity to transit. They are designed to
allow residents and workers to drive their cars less and ride transit more.

A workshop providing a broad perspective on community development that includes ideas and strategies for economic
development and community revitalization.  

Part 1:  Economic Development
The Colorado Rural Development Council will present an introduction to community economic development covering strategies
and policies.  

Part 2:  Downtown Revitalization
Downtown Colorado, Inc. will present information on creating a vision and business plan to support downtown revitalization.  

Part 3:  Brownfields Resources
Colorado Brownfields Foundation will present information on real estate, redevelopment and renovation and discusses how
such “vertical infrastructure” integrates with the economic development and downtown revitalization to create a complete
resource package of public-private investment for the community.
